Javonna Pierce

Javonna M. Pierce is a Clinical Mental Health Counseling graduate student at Liberty University, where she is currently pursuing her master’s degree. She earned her Bachelor of Science in Psychology and Christian Counseling from Liberty University in 2021. Javonna is also a proud member of Chi Sigma Iota Counseling, Academic, and Professional Honor Society International (CSI).

With a deep passion for helping individuals grow, heal, and thrive, Javonna is committed to building meaningful therapeutic relationships and creating a safe, supportive environment for every client. Before stepping into the counseling field, she spent 30 years as a dedicated cosmetologist—an experience that strengthened her ability to build trust, truly listen, and support people through life’s challenges. She now brings that same compassion, attentiveness, and dedication into her counseling work with individuals and in groups.

Javonna’s therapeutic approach integrates Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Solution-Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT), and Attachment Theory when helpful. She is passionate about working with clients experiencing depression, anxiety, and mild to moderate substance use concerns. She prioritizes partnering with clients to set meaningful goals both inside and outside the counseling space, empowering them to move toward lasting change.

Javonna values the opportunity—when desired by the client—to incorporate faith, prayer, and biblical principles into the healing process. She believes spiritual growth can be a powerful part of emotional restoration.

Outside of counseling, Javonna enjoys long walks in the park, leading Bible studies with her women’s group, and serving her community—including supporting women at local shelters. Most of all, she treasures spending quality time with her family and loved ones.
